Anyway, here's the deal: In about a year I'll hopefully have a job as a professional editor. But to do that I need your help, because in the world of editing there is something far more important than education:
EXPERIENCE!
So I have decided that I will edit ANYTHING just so I can say I have. I really enjoy doing it (otherwise I wouldn't have chosen it as a profession) so I'm more than willing to do it for FREE! (Beta reading that is, eventually I will need my official profession to make me a little cash, lol)
Here are the rules:
1. Anything goes!
Really. I have read some REALLY raunchy lemon, including S&M stuff, and it doesn't really bother me. So don't worry about the content. I will, however, probably advise you to present it with some degree of delicacy. But then you don't have to take my advice... wich brings me to
2. You don't have to listen to me!
As per the professional route, editing (beyond spell-check and proofreading) is really about suggestions. I may note that a certain phrase is written awkwardly, or that you're using a specific word too often and to try to find something else. I may ask you to expand on certain points or cut out unnecessary sections.......but you don't have to! You get the benifit of my advice without any pressure. I'm not going to rewrite it for you, otherwise it wouldn't be your story. Really I'm just interested in helping you write better. Honestly. Plus I wanna read your stuff.
3. I am not Omniscient.
Sadly, I have not had the opportunity to watch every anime and read every manga known to man. I will proofread and spell check fanfictions of series I have not seen, but of course I won't be able to offer any advice on content (beyond the quality of the writing itself) because I don't have any knowledge of it. Here is a list of the shows/mangas I think I could reliably content edit:
Sailor Moon (I was 10, ok? lol)
Reboot
Outlaw Star
Big O
InuYasha (especially Sesshomaru and gang)
Blood +
Red River
Tarot Cafe
Full Metal Alchemist (Anime & Manga -trust me, they're different, I wrote a 20 page paper on it)
And I'm probably forgetting a whole bunch, so feel free to ask me. Also, If you describe the series and i think it sounds cool, I may get into it. I'm always looking for something new.
4. I don't care who likes who.
Some picky readers get offended by certain relationships. I am not one of them. In fact, I kind of like some of the improbable ones because it's fun to see how you would get them together. I am not personally interested in Yaoi, but I don't mind reading it that much. So no need to worry about whether I will respond with "What the hell were you thinking??? There's no way those two would hit it off!!" lol. Marry Sues are fine too.
5. Original stories welcome!
This offer is not just for writers of fanfiction, I have an especial respect for people who write with entirely with their own characters--I do so myself, and it is a much harder prospect. This kind of thing is what I would be working with professionally, so of course i would LOVE to read original stories.
6. Payment
Like I said before, this will be FREE. Besides that, I'm not sure that it would be legal to accept money for editing a fanfiction, due to copyright laws. But if you REALLY want to thank me and happen to be of the artistic persuasion it would really make my day if someone drew a fanfic of my original characters, Kaze and Miharu.
7. Contacting me
Now that all the stuffy stuff is over, here's how you go about getting me to Beta your writing for free:
Email me with a SUMMARY of your story at married_miko@hotmail.com. Also include an estimated file size of the story, as I have a limited inbox size and I may ask you to email it to a different address.
This way you won't have to go to the trouble of attatching the story only to find that I am too swamped up to do your story right now! (although I highly doubt that will ever be the case!)
Well, that's the gist of it. I would be eternally greatful if you would pass my name along to anyone you know who is in need of a beta reader!
Devious Comments
And no offense, but I have noticed a typo here and there in your work. I myself am terrible at it, because I seem incapable of editing my own work.

I now have a new site for costumes, chainmaille, and eventually editing, The Stitch and Ring. I can even help you create what you want on a budget! Here's the site: [link]
I did notice several and I fixed them as I found them, but I'm sure there are still some more.

Duncan: There is a war on. How is it that you are heading west?
Nathanial: Well, you face the north and real swift-like turn to the left.
btw, where is the Duncan/Nathanial quote from? I love it to pieces.
